4. Who we share it with

4.1 We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that help us run VetDojo, and only as needed for the purposes above:
  • LearnWorlds hosts the Site, courses, learner accounts, progress records and platform emails. It receives account, learning-activity, purchase and usage data.
  • Stripe processes payments and subscriptions, and provides fraud prevention, including hCaptcha at checkout. It receives name, email, billing country, payment details and transaction data.
  • Google (Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, Google Ads) provides website analytics and advertising measurement. It receives usage and device data, cookie identifiers and purchase events.
  • Meta Platforms (Meta Pixel) provides advertising measurement and audiences on Facebook and Instagram. It receives usage and device data, cookie identifiers, and page and purchase events.
  • Wistia hosts and plays some course and promotional videos. It receives video viewing data and device data.
  • Cloudflare provides website delivery and security. It receives IP address and technical request data.
  • Sign-in providers (Google, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, Apple) provide optional sign-in. They receive information only if you choose to sign in with them.

4.2 We may also disclose personal information:
  • where required or authorised by law, such as to a court or regulator;
  • to our professional advisers, such as accountants and lawyers; or
  • to a purchaser of the business. If VetDojo or its assets are sold, your information may be transferred to the buyer, who must handle it in line with this policy.

5. Overseas disclosure

5.1 Several of the providers above store or process data outside Australia. These include LearnWorlds, Stripe, Google, Meta, Wistia and Cloudflare. Your information may therefore be held in, or accessed from, the United States, the European Union and other countries.

5.2 We use reputable providers that maintain their own privacy and security programs.

6. How we keep it secure

6.1 Our providers use industry-standard security measures. These include encrypted connections (HTTPS) for the whole Site and PCI-compliant payment processing through Stripe.

6.2 No system is perfectly secure. If we become aware of an eligible data breach, we will notify affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as required by the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.

7. How long we keep it

7.1 We keep account and learning records while your account is active and for 7 years afterwards. That allows us to re-issue certificates and answer queries. We keep purchase records for as long as tax law requires, generally at least 5 years.

7.2 You can ask us to delete your account at any time. We will delete or de-identify your information unless we must keep it by law.

8. Your rights

8.1 You can ask us to:
  • access the personal information we hold about you;
  • correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date or incomplete;
  • delete your account; or
  • stop sending marketing emails. Use the unsubscribe link, or email us.

8.2 We will respond within 30 days. We do not charge a fee to make a request, and normally will not charge to provide access. If we refuse a request, we will tell you why in writing.

8.3 You can interact with us anonymously or under a pseudonym when you browse the Site, or make a general enquiry. We need your real name and email to sell you a course and issue certificates.
